I've stopped reading Paresse pour tous for now to start on Ripening Seed (Le blé en herbe in French). The aim is to finish it quickly so that I can pass it on to the next person in my book group. This is a reread for me.

(picture is the 1954 film poster - apparently, several US states tried to ban it for immorality 🙄)

Day 7 #womenintranslation #aprilbookshowers I couldn't easily locate on my shelves any translations of books by women, but how about ones in the original language that I know have been translated into English?

Mehso-so

This is a novella (125 pages) about a youthful romance. Colette was a famous French writer (she died in the 1950s). Honestly, I preferred Claudine at School... I have to read the other books of the Claudine series ;)
I've read this book for the #192019challenge, it was published in 1923. It's also the letter B for the #LitsyAtoZ challenge (since I've read it in French).
