In the latest in this New York Times bestselling series, matrimony and murder collide as San Francisco book-restoration expert Brooklyn Wainwright walks down the aisle. . . Brooklyn has it all covered. She's triple-checked her wedding to-do list, and everything is on track for the upcoming ceremony with the love of her life, security expert Derek Stone. Not everyone has been as lucky in love as Brooklyn. Her old library college roommates Heather and Sara lost touch twelve years ago when Sara stole Heather's boyfriend. Brooklyn was caught in the middle and hasn't seen her former besties since their falling-out. When they both arrive in town for the annual librarians' convention and then show up at her surprise bridal shower, Brooklyn is sure drama will ensue. But she's touched when the women seem willing to sort out their differences and gift her rare copies of The Three Musketeers and The Blue Fairy Book. Brooklyn's prewedding calm is shattered when one of her formerly feuding friends is found murdered and Brooklyn determines that one of the rare books is a forgery. She can't help but wonder if the victim played a part in this fraud, or if she was targeted because she discovered the scam. With a killer and con artist on the loose, Brooklyn and Derek--with the unsolicited help of their meddling mothers--must catch the culprit before their big day turns into a big mess.

This series is like comfort food. The plots are interesting but getting a bit repetitive. Overall though, I enjoyed this book. It‘s always fun to cozy in the afternoon with these books. #cozyinthesun #cozy#12

Librarybelle The best way to enjoy a Sunday afternoon - a cozy read! 4y

Good morning @LapReader from Spring and the northern hemisphere,
Which mammal wore the blanket cave better? These two are not adapting to social distancing very well. Cleo (L) wants everybody always cuddling & holding her, esp Daddy who is working from home. Bunny (R) thinks it‘s great everyone is home, but could we please go for more outside romps? I haven‘t left the house except to walk Bunny since last Sunday. I read a whole book yesterday 👇🏻

mrsmarch but it was an early grade Judy Blume so it might not “count” (I counted it). I‘m waiting for an at-home dairy delivery—shouldn‘t he have come before 7:30 am? Don‘t dairy men come around at dawn or something? Thinking of you ❤️ 💭 #isolationinteractions 5y
Avanders Awww poor little 🧜🏼‍♀️. My 3 yo is having a hard time w the adjustment too 😕 5y
night_shift This is my first weekend not working in forever and it's been tough. There's such a thing as milk delivery?! 😲 5y

mrsmarch @UnidragonFrag Yess!! in my area there are three dairies that have milk farms and at home delivery. Maybe it‘s a New England thing? 5y
mrsmarch @UnidragonFrag I also had them bring fresh baked English muffins from a local bakery and farm made turkey sausages from a local farm/butcher. Gonna have turkey and cranberry sausages with stuffing and cranberry sauce one night for dinner. I feel obligated to support these local businesses! A gallon of milk is maybe a dollar more expensive than the store, but...local, farm fresh, and delivered? Probably worth it. 5y
night_shift That's so cool! I don't think we have anything like that out here (closest dairy farm I know of is a ways away) but fresh baked English muffins sounds awesome! I like the idea of a mini Thanksgiving meal, sounds good! Getting it delivered assures you're getting it, too. I found milk last time I went but the time before there wasn't any at all! 5y
night_shift But yeah, I've been supporting local as best I can right now. They really need our support if they're going to make it through all this. 5y
mrsmarch @UnidragonFrag My mom in Las Vegas says meat and bread are hard to find; here in MA it is meat and eggs. You kind of have to know where to look. Eventually, the shelves will be restocked. 5y
night_shift I think the weirdest thing I've seen that has been almost completely picked over is stuffing lol .. last time we went, no dog food so it's a good thing we picked up since up before all this. 5y
mrsmarch @UnidragonFrag I‘m about halfway thru Bunny‘s latest bag from Chewy....trying to decide how far in advance to place the next order..... 5y

Somehow I went from book 1 to book 12 and skipped everything in between, I guess it's time to go back and play catch-up 😁 however, this title intrigued me as I've had my TBR stack fall over on me before and I was buried in books LOL 😂📚📚📚

Only 6 hours reading in so far; today is a busy day so won‘t be reading until tonight. Saw a wonderful movie last night though, The Florida Project.

BeansPage You're still doing great! Keep it up!👍🏻 6y

She‘s finally getting married so 2 friends she hasn‘t spoken to in 12 years get invited as she never told her mother what happened. It‘s kind of sad. I‘m glad she sets people straight about being a body-magnet. People are dead. Lives are changed. I bet you their honeymoon won‘t be a quiet one.

Finished up another great bibliophile mystery. Brooklyn was at a Librarians convention and she‘s surrounded by book lovers, kind of like I am on Litsy. A pretty good cozy, everything wrapped up pretty well and I think the next destination for murder will be a fun one.

So excited to start this cozy. I‘ve been waiting all summer for it. I really do love this series. The main character is usually surrounded by book lovers. Reminds me of how I feel on Litsy 💕

Mehso-so

Again, between a "Pick" and a "So-so." Unfortunately that's not an option. This is the last in the series, but I'm not finished. I still need to find the first 3 on audio (without having to pay ?)

So I put down Sunburn for awhile because I was tired. Instead I finished up listening to this. These light mysteries are generally decent, and in this one the murders take a back seat to Derek & Brooklyn‘s wedding — so even lighter.

My partner and father in law have just built me a bookcase! Not quite the library I always dreamed of, but it's a start. One alcove at a time.
