A quirky and sweet YA about a group of misfits who become friends (...and maybe more) while spending a summer working at a store that sells items from abandoned luggage.

Griefcase! Love it!
Finished book number 9! I would DEFINITELY recommend this one! Such a good book about the value of friendship and how amazing friends really are. Such a great YA novel. I will definitely seek out more books by Jen Doll because I couldn‘t put this one down! 📚
so I‘ve been in the biggest reading slump. and I‘m hoping this breezy, quick read and this app will help bring me out of it.
Alright, I'm giving up at 1/3 of the way in. I like YA, but not YA that toes the line of being silly. There were some bright spots in this book (chapters narrated by Grant and the idea of a store selling contents of left behind suitcases) but most of it (especially chapters narrated by Doris) was too juvenile for my taste. I like my YA to not realize it's YA. ✌🏼#movingon
Ok, so I'll give this one some more reading time tonight to try to win me over. Maybe I'm just not in the mood for YA 🤷🏼♀️
A lot of YA isn't for me. Teenage angst is not my thing. But I just loved Doris, Nell and Grant, the three main characters in this novel. The novel was touching and funny and I just loved it. I read it in one sitting - highly unusual for me.
A cute story about friendship & finding self-acceptance. Three very different teens come together during a summer job at Unclaimed Baggage: an out-of-place liberal in a small Southern town, a Chicago transplant, & the alcoholic former quarterback. The friendships progressed a little quickly, & I wasn't sold on the occasional baggage POV scenes, but by the end I was totally invested in the characters and their stories. A cute, fun contemporary YA.
I know this cover has been done before but with a more realistic squirrel, but this is my favorite for the day.

I dare you to resist a book with fluffy clouds and a little squirrel on the front. OR resist a quirky and adorable story about 3 teens who become friends while working in a store that gets unclaimed and unnamed baggage from airports all over the world (in small town Alabama, no less). I loved it! 💓

1) We/I rarely make holiday plans because of no family here and my bullish ‘partner‘ doing things behind my back and making the schedule for me/us.
2) It‘s a tie: Sadie / What The Woods Keep / Unclaimed Baggage 🐿😬 All good!
3) I don‘t eat meat. Aside from that, I can‘t stand mushrooms!
4) I don‘t now as I have MS but back then I did a lot: swimming, running, horse-riding, and at boarding school, ‘field‘ hockey 🏑
Just cried my eyes out at Christopher Robin, so hoping this book brings some much needed comedy into my life.
