The Journey of little Charlie was an excellent #historicalfiction novel. The narration on the audiobook was also very well done. In 1858 Charlie's father is killed. He is then forced by a evil slave hunter go on a journey tracking runaway slaves. Will Charlie go along with the plan to bring slaves back to the South, or will he try to help them Escape? #MiddleGradeMay @SaturnDoo @megnews

An intriguing story told in first person by 12 year old Charlie Bobo, as he somewhat unwillingly becomes part of a mission to capture a slave family who escaped to Detroit, and return them to South Carolina. It will make a great classroom read-aloud and is perfect for children who enjoy historical fiction or action adventure stories.
