We're supposed to be reading a book about the planets. In reality, Nina is telling us everything she knows about space, gravity, why the earth is hard (because there's dirt under the grass, of course!), and so much more... Did you know that the reason we can't live on Mercury is because it's too hot for our feet?! "You can't wear sandals!" ???

This book discusses in detail the movements, location, and characteristics of the nine known planets of our solar system, and at the same time it includes very eye-catching illustrations along each page. Even though this book hasn‘t won any awards, Gail Gibbons, author of more than one hundred

RossoS books, is the winner of the Washington Post/Children‘s Book Guild Award for her overall contribution to children‘s nonfiction literature. I‘ve included a website that will take you to a teacher‘s guide created by the author of this book.
