Pickpick

Happy Halloween! I finished this collection of little-known vampire tales right on time, and I totally recommend it to anyone interested in the genre! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

1. Vampire stories you‘ve never read
2. Music! I don‘t like silence
3. I‘d probably go really far back, like 1100? Depends on where I‘m allowed to go, though.

1. Tagged! I‘m enjoying it so far
2. This Song Will Save Your Life—sadly I can‘t recall the author‘s name, but this book focuses on music greatly!
3. I haven‘t listened to any music today, so I don‘t remember! It was probably something by Skillet, though

A little pre-cooking reading. I'm really enjoying this book of vintage vampire classics by several different authors, including Arthur Conan Doyle. Some good creepy vampire stories! 🧛‍♂️

And I stand corrected: Bram Stoker's Dracula is not the work of literature that introduced our beliefs/myths about vampires. It was actually, according to the introduction in this book, The Generall Historie of the Turkes, written by Richard Knolles in 1603. 📚

TrishB But definitely more of us have read Dracula! 6y
CoffeeNBooks @TrishB Quite true! I'm pretty sure The Generall Historie of the Turkes isn't available at my local library, lol! I just had no idea- I've always attributed Dracula lore to Bram Stoker. 6y
rwmg @CoffeeNBooks It's available as a free ebook, so your library might have it 6y

BethM Ok I need your coffee input- I need to narrow this down to 5: eggnog, gingerbread, frankenbones, chocolate orange, smorey time, bananas foster, French toast. 6y
CoffeeNBooks @BethM Of those you listed, I really like eggnog, bananas foster, french toast, smorey time, and chocolate orange. I haven't tried frankenbones, but it sounds good. I wanted to like gingerbread, but it tasted way more like fresh ginger that you'd cook with than gingerbread cookies. I need to give it another try. Did you see that they're giving away a free tote with a sampler pack purchase? I bought more. 🤣 6y
BethM Lol I did which is part of the reason I‘m finally ordering! Thanks for the input! 6y
CoffeeNBooks @BethM I just made some of the gingerbread coffee and put a tiny bit of vanilla extract in it, and now it tastes more like gingerbread cookies! ☕ 6y
