Menolly‘s books are usually my favorite in this series and I really liked this installment. The story made a huge jump and I‘m glad to see some closure happening for these characters after so long!

Over the years Menolly has become my favourite character in this series ❤️ Still, I think it's good that the series is coming to an end. All the weddings, pregnancies and babies are to much for me now. It's getting way too girly 😅🙈

I really hope this book gets better. 😕 There seems to be so much unnecessary dialogue and rehashing of old, irrelevant details. I'm just biding my time until #freakyfriday starts on Sunday, so I didn't want to start something new. The next 2 days are going to be busy with birthday festivities for the now-5-year-old. We will see if I even finish this one. I think I'm over this series. #Book18 #PossibleDNF

wanderinglynn I agree with @TommieMarie74. I too used to force myself to slug through, but I realized there are too many other books out there to waste time on one I‘m clearly not enjoying. If I have to force myself to read it, it‘s not fun anymore and what‘s the point of reading if not for pleasure? 7y

sherryvdh @TommieMarie74 @wanderinglynn Thanks for the encouragement! I usually wouldn't hesitate to bail, but I wanted to wait until Sunday to start a new book. The thought of not having something to read for 2 whole days makes me stressed. 😆 7y

Finally back online today! I finished my book yesterday, and I have a few holds expected to come in at the library anytime. This should be a quick read in the meantime. It's only been sitting on my TBR shelf for about 2 years. I don't enjoy this series as much as I did in the beginning, but it will hopefully still keep me entertained for 2 or 3 days while I wait for my holds. #currentlyreading #babysnuggles #urbanfantasy
