Cajun Crazy
Cajun Crazy: A Cajun Novel | Sandra Hill
4 posts | 2 read | 2 to read
Welcome back to New York Times bestseller Sandra Hill’s Cajun country, where love heats up the Louisiana bayou . . . Former Chicago cop Simone LeDeux is back home in the bayou, sharing a double wide in the Pearly Gates trailer park to help her mama recover from surgery. Her one rule: no Cajun men. Loved and left by too many double-crossing Cajuns, Simone puts bad experience to good use by opening Legal Belles: an agency that uncovers cheating spouses. Suddenly she’s confronting a two-timer about to swindle his wife out of millions and antagonizing New Orleans bigwigs over an illegal sex club. Adam Lanier learns of the dangerous game Simone is playing . . . and the sexy single dad comes to her aid. Known as a rogue in the courtroom and a player in the bedroom, the ragin’ Cajun has Simone triply on guard. With their crazy chemistry, danger on their trail, and infamous LeDeux relative Tante Lulu working her magical matchmaking, the bayou has never been this steamy.

Some crazy comedy in these crazy times. I just felt like the cheesy jokes and comments took over the whole story. Just as I was getting into the book a dopey joke would take me out. I struggled with this one. 😢

Angeles Too bad, Santa Hill is an author I really like 5y
Lauren_reading @Angeles I loved her older stuff, but her more recent books have been hit or miss for me. 5y
Angeles That explains it, I am getting her older books in Libby. Anything newish right now has a couple of months wait on hold 5y

Mehso-so

It got a so so, rather than a pick because although it was cute and had a quirky cast of characters, I found it too easy to put down and do other things. Having said that, I probably will read more of her books set in the bayou because I adored Tante Lulu. She‘s kind of like a Cajun Grandma Mazur only without the gun. And far more meddlesome.

Breakfast reading. Plus delicious breakfast of Keto Bagels (done up as cinnamon toast) and egg muffins. My sister made us these for lunch the other day so I‘m polishing off the leftovers. 😀

tammysue Looks yummy 😋 6y
CocoReads @whatshesreadingnow it was delicious. I have 2 bagels left. I‘m thinking about making garlic bread out of them. Or maybe a sandwich. The possibilities are endless. 6y
tammysue @CocoReads We eat bagels almost daily. That sounds good.. I‘ve never tried either just with cream cheese or jam, need to try! 6y
CocoReads I‘m trying to find a good bread substitute because I love bread but the carbs are a problem for me. My sister hit this recipe from a co worker so we‘ve been experimenting this week. They aren‘t quite the same but they kind of work for me. 6y

I didn‘t actually get to read much of the tagged book but I went to my happy place today and I‘m feeling pretty happy now. A bit burnt, but happy. Hope your Monday has been awesome Littens!
