pickOh Ramona, we are so similar. Growing up, my mom and I were not on the same wavelength, just like Ramona and hers. Despite this, in both Ramona‘s house and mine, there was plenty of love, even through the missteps. The haircut scene in this is one of my favorites of the series! 😂😂
Now on to my favorite, Ramona Quimby, Age 8! Third grade here we come!
pickI haven‘t gotten much reading time in today. But I did manage to finish my third book for #24in48. Another story about Ramona and her family that I found quite entertaining! 3/5⭐️

This may have been my favourite of the Ramona series so far - because Beatrix, who has always been a daddy‘s girl, is now at least sometimes seeking to be ‘her mother‘s girl‘. She is, of course, very similar to Ramona. Despite the different time setting, place and family circumstances, I suspect some things about being the younger of two sisters with a 5-6 year age difference would always be the same.
pickHow can you not adore Ramona!! I have been reading the Ramona series aloud to my 3 girls (ages 8, 6, and 3) and all 3 of them LOVE Ramona. This particular book is probably my favorite so far. My 2 younger girls are very similar to Ramona (my oldest is definitely a Beezus) and I laughed out loud several times picturing the same disasters happening to us. So cute! Love these books!! #raisingreaders

I love it when a childhood memory pops up, especially from a book.
My daughter messed up this tube of medical cream, so now I have to use it out of a bag. Much like Ramona had to use all the toothpaste out of a bag, because you can‘t put it back in the tube, and you can‘t waste it!
“All her life she had wanted to squeeze the toothpaste really squeeze it,not just one little squirt...The paste coiled and swirled and mounded in the washbasin.”
I‘m having a lovely pretend brunch with my girls at the Children‘s Museum. We even found a couple of books to take home from the Little Free Library outside. This town is full of fun family places and LFLs!
pickThis RF novel is written by Beverly Cleary( my favorite children's author). This book is one of many if the Ramona Quimby series. It is great for RA, IR, and AS. This novel holds a National Book award. I was first introduced to this book as a RA with my third grade teacher, and it certainly did foster my love for reading.
The next book -- bought used -- has this sweet little note in it.
