6th Target
6th Target | James Patterson
When a horrifying attack leaves one of the four members of the Women's Murder Club struggling for her life, the others fight to keep a madman behind bars before anyone else is hurt. And Lindsay Boxer and her new partner in the San Francisco police department run flat-out to stop a series of kidnappings that has electrified the city: children are being plucked off the streets together with their nannies--but the kidnappers aren't demanding ransom. Amid uncertainty and rising panic, Lindsay juggles the possibility of a new love with an unsolvable investigation, and the knowledge that one member of the club could be on the brink of death. And just when everything appears momentarily under control, the case takes a terrifying turn, putting an entire city in lethal danger. Lindsay must make a choice she never dreamed she'd face--with no certainty that either outcome has more than a prayer of success.

A series of kidnappings has begun in SF - children of wealthy parents are being plucked off the streets together with their nannies, but the kidnappers aren't demanding ransom. Twists and turns keep one engaged, especially the psycho killer. Unique ending!!

I enjoyed how this book gave more of an insight into Claire Washburn, even though it was through her being shot on the ferry. Claire is one of my favourite characters of the women‘s murder club series.

Liatrek I love Claire but sadly he hardly uses her in the later books😞 4y
Kathfidler I know 😔 I have actually read all the books, just only discovered this app. Shame he doesn‘t use her more 4y

Another one completed for #FreakyFriday! I couldn‘t sleep last night, so I finished this one off... and started on book 11, before I finally dozed off after 530am. Tonight‘s shift will be brutal. 😴😴😴

11-6-17: #novemberbythenumbers I used to be a huge James Patterson fan. I loved the Alex Cross series. I saw Wesley Snipes as Alex so the movies didn't work for me as much. I also enjoyed this series, but at some point, right after I gave birth to my second daughter, I had a momentary lapse in reading and I never picked up his books again. No reason, I just moved into new genres. Anyone read this whole series? #️⃣6️⃣📖 @JoeStalksBeck @Tiffy_Reads

BibliophileMomma I have! I love this series. 7y
GidgetsTreasures75 I should definitely pick it back up. 7y
Andrew65 @GidgetsTreasures75 I've also read the whole series and waiting impatiently for number 17. My favourite James Patterson series. (edited) 7y
GidgetsTreasures75 17?!? Wow!!! I believe I read the first 4 or 5 but I would need to start over. 7y

Mehso-so

The authors need to stop with the two unrelated cases in the same book. Both always get short shrift.
