This was a wild ride. I was seriously up and down with this book like a roller coaster. I didn‘t piece together the ending at all and the twists just kept shocking me throughout the book. I always find a book about memory loss terrifying because it leaves a person at a complete lack of control of their self in all capacities. Awesome thriller. Definitely read it if you haven‘t!
I think there may be only one copy of this book in existence and every litten who has read it shows the same beat up paperback.
Jane has no memory of her life, her caregivers seem to be making matters worse or is she just going crazy. Ok, so this really picked up at the end, I wouldn't call it a slow burn because that implies suspense. The memory loss schtick got old for me pretty quickly. That said deviously clever villain.
When I was searching this book on Litsy to add to my stack I noticed nearly every copy of this that was posted was a beat up old paperback like this one :)
I was working on my never ending quest to find exciting titles to have on my bookshelf at school for independent reading. I stumbled across See Jane Run and immediately ordered it.
Day 7 #TitleWithAProperName #ReadJanuary This was the first Joy Fielding book I read and I loved it. It doesn't have anything to do with running shoes, that's just wishful thinking on my part. It's way too cold for running shoes today. Get out the heavy gloves, scarves, and hats!
This book reminded me a bit of Gone Girl in that the first half dragged a little, and then suddenly everything took off all at once. Jane, the main character, is my kind of heroine. Even when crazy circumstances pull her down, she fights her way back up. I wish more books had female characters like her.
Took some time off from grading tonight to get some reading done. Thought I had this mystery figured out, but I'm not so sure anymore...even my pup is sniffing for clues!
