so-soAm wondering what readers think of this novel. I‘ve just started it and am struggling a bit. I‘m a voracious reader but can‘t seem to connect with the author‘s style or the main character. Would love to hear from anyone who‘s finished it and has thoughts to offer.

I didn't hate it, but I didn't find it compelling, either. Sometimes I liked Gael, but mostly I didn't. I found myself repeatedly putting the book down and picking up another.
A coming of age story Anthony Doerr gave it a rave review .unforgettable heroine Gael Foss an author her debut novel called original and dazzling published by Hogarth Press definitely happy💃🏼time.
