Bailedbailed

This is a bail due to my mood rather than anything else. I am not liking the hero and the pacing with my current mood. The writing is very good. If you like a rake/grumpy hero this is for you. I may try it again later.

Very interesting word play so far: "She had never found herself drawn to a man in this manner, had never itched to loosen buttons or remove a neck cloth. Had never wanted to order him to stand perfectly still while she unwrapped him as though he were a gift. She had little doubt that Avendale was a gift—probably from Lucifer himself. He was certainly no angel"

Five heart-wrenching stars. Ugly cried with this masterpiece. It broke my heart and put it back together again. Avendale, so flawed, so heroic. Rose- what a swindling angel. And Harry, the best part of the book. One of Lorraine Heath's best.

Lorraine Heath's writing will rip your heart out in the most amazing way. I was a wonderfully wrecked reader after this one. Again. #romantsy #OSRBC

Good story. There was a scene that made me cry. Heath made me care about the characters. Damn her. 😉
