pickJames Herbert, before his death in 2013, was fairly unsung amongst British genre writers. I loved "The Rats" as a kid (still do) and this is the first of a stack of ratty paperbacks of his work I picked up at various thrift stores. Some strong imagery and solid writing but a mostly weak finale.
