pickI didn‘t know du Maurier wrote sci-fic! This is a decent story of an engineer who was sent to an isolated research laboratory to work with a scientist..sort of a mad science story that raises the moral & ethical questions. A good story with interesting plot, but would work better if it‘s longer, I think. But as usual, du Maurier‘s writing is brilliantly effective in creating a foreboding & disturbing atmosphere. Give it a go. 👍

An engaging & fast read, I enjoyed this one & found it interesting, but not particularly creepy or tense.
