I finished the #MiddleGrade section for #BBRC awhile back but forgot to post this. Moving onto Teen Angst now, which I need lots of recos for. But, I have to say this was my favorite sections so far! ☺️

LauraJ 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Excellent! 5y
thegirlwiththelibrarybag What is #BBRC if you don‘t mind me asking? 5y
Texreader Aren‘t all John Green books good for teen angst? 😊 I‘ll post some more I‘ve really liked as recommendations (edited) 5y

Whoo Hoo. My #LMPBC group #GroupM is full. How awesome.

Shall we pick some MG books? I have a ton, so if it is alright with the rest of you, I would like you to pick first, and then I will pick and do something not represented already so we get a nice blend. I do promise not to do a historical MG since that is what I picked last time and it was dense.

If I tagged the wrong person, forgive me.
@suvata - Thanks for arranging. You are AWESOME!

LibrarianRyan Humm. Posted this from the desk top and the tags didn‘t stick so let‘s try this. @Johanna414 @IndoorDame @merelybookish 6y
Johanna414 Yay! I usually try to come up with 4 or 5 options and let the other group members give some input - I‘ll get started on that this afternoon 😊 6y
LibrarianRyan @Johanna414 yeah. If I was at home it would be easier (I think) but since I‘m on the desk at work I‘m scouring my gd owned shelf. My list is at 15 right now, but I have 4 stared. So we shall see. 6y

LibrarianRyan @Johanna414 I figured with what you do you too would have a big list!! ❤️😁😁 6y
IndoorDame @LibrarianRyan @Johanna414 Sounds great! I‘ll start a list this afternoon too 😊 I‘m excited! 6y
merelybookish Cool! Are we sticking with contemporary titles or are older ones okay too? @IndoorDame @Johanna414 6y
LibrarianRyan @merelybookish Your choice. I have a few older ones on my decision list as well. 6y
Johanna414 @merelybookish I‘m definitely good with an older title as well. Most of my list is newer stuff since I figured there‘s a better chance of finding something no one has read yet. 6y
LibrarianRyan @Johanna414 I wont lie. I'm contemplating a galley i have in my possession that doesn't not come out until January. It's hotly anticipated. But I want to see what everyone else picks. I don't want to laden our selections to heavy one way or the other (sci fi, vs mystery, etc). 6y
Johanna414 @LibrarianRyan oh that‘s exciting! 6y
LibrarianRyan @Johanna414 I was wrong it is out in October. They moved the date up. But still... 6y
IndoorDame @Johanna414 I‘m good with either :-) 6y

The One in the Middle is the Green Kangroo. One of my favorite childhood MG novels.

The Birth and Beyond Reading Challenge invites you to explore the area of Middle grade. There is something for everyone. Books to make you cry, laugh, or have amazing adventures. Remember discovering HP for the first time? What new MG book will you discover now.

#BBRC

IamIamIam I recommend Brian Selznick for anything over 250 pages! 😍 6y
LibrarianRyan @IamIamIam I KNOW!!!! such awesome books!! Hugo is still one of my favs. I was given a copy of Wonderstruck last year by Scholastic at Book Expo, I just have not gotten around to reading it yet. I really want a copy of Marvels, I just have not plunked down the money for it yet. Or his Monkey one that is more recent. 6y
IamIamIam @LibrarianRyan Oooh, I didn't know there was a new one!!! *squee* I enjoyed The Marvels the least but it was still fantastic! Wonderstruck hit me in all the right places! 😍 6y
LibrarianRyan @IamIamIam I have tagged it. But it is no where near as long. 6y
IamIamIam OOOH, my daughter took that out of the library after recognizing Selznick's art from the Harry Potter covers we saw at the Magic exhibit!!! Talk about a parenting win on that one!!! Lol, that was very cute! We loved it! 😍 6y
