Seasonaires
Seasonaires | Janna King
6 posts | 1 read | 1 reading | 8 to read
Inspired by this deceivingly heady atmosphere, acclaimed screenwriting talent makes her fresh and thrilling debut with The Seasonaires. An idyllic Nantucket summer begins like a dream for Mia, a scrappy "Southie," Presley, the gorgeous southern beauty queen, Cole, a quiet newcomer with startling eyes, Jade, the exotic daughter of a model and music mogul, J.P., the energetic young designer, and Grant, the playful party-boy. All six are working as seasonaires for the clothing brand Lyndon Wyld. But like all things that look too good to be true, the darkness lurking underneath slowly rises to the surface. Lyndon Wyld, the chic British tigress who owns the eponymous business, rules their daily life by curating their every move, which the seasonaires are obligated to post on social media for their growing throngs of followers. When corporate greed, professional rivalries and personal conflicts are mixed with sex, drugs, and the naivet' of youth, the results are explosive as the murder that will sully their catalog-perfect lives.

Picked up some library books! Have you read either of these?

#Seasonaires: For a college kid there is no summer job better than being a seasonaire. No responsibilities, and you‘re surrounded by glamorous people. Intoxicating and seemingly carefree, what could possibly go wrong? Greed, professional rivalries, and personal conflicts mix with sex, drugs, and the naiveté of youth, exploding in a murder that sullies their catalog-perfect lives.. #tbr

Robothugs Is the question for @Mindea? 🤔 If not, I haven‘t read them. But I‘ll be interested in what you think of the tagged book! 6y
Bklover I‘m currently listening to IBGITD. So far it‘s fascinating! 6y
RachLovesTV I'm also listening to IBGITD right now! I'd agree it's fascinating, but also terrifying. ?? I was listening on my way home from work tonight, got the shivers, and thought, "Maybe I shouldn't listen to this in the dark before I try to go to sleep." ? 6y

Jess7 No, the question is for everyone. I only tagged her bc she had no heard of the Seasonaires @Robothugs 6y
britt_brooke I listened th the audio of I‘ll Be Gone in the Dark. It‘s so good, but very creepy. It was daytime only reading for me, but still freaked me the hell out because I‘m a chicken and couldn‘t get it out of my brain. It‘s a freaking great book, though! 5⭐️ 6y
Jess7 I tried listening to the audio but couldn‘t follow it very well. I think for this particular book (I‘m not very familiar with this case) I‘ll like it better in print. @britt_brooke - nice to know you rated it so high! 6y
Joy0201 I‘ll Be Gone in the Dark will make you check your locks all the time. 6y
SilversReviews I have not read either. ENJOY!! 6y
janeycanuck I‘m with everyone else - recently finished IBGITD, couldn‘t listen after dark and compulsively checked my locks (doors and windows) after. 6y

Cool & rainy day. Spending it by the fire reading about summer!!
This ARC is like stepping inside a guilty pleasure reality show gone wild!! Perfect summer (or dreaming of summer) read!!
Thanks to NetGalley & the publisher for providing an ARC for my honest review.

tpixie Do you watch the show UNreal? It‘s a crazy show about the insides of a Bachelor- type reality show. 7y
