Enjoying the last warm rays of sunshine in my garden with this. A feel-good-story with a garden. Not too heavy, not too deep. Exactly what I needed this week. #bookspin from two months ago, I think. Still catching up.

A nice little story about Paige as she works her way through grief after losing her husband in a car accident. Plenty of humor throughout, especially with regard to Paige‘s career, which helped to offset some of the heavier parts. The parts about Paige‘s garden were my favorite: about how she was new at gardening, about learning it all for the first time, about how putting her hands in the dirt soothed and calmed her. Gardening soothes me too🪴☀️
I had no expectations going in. MC is a widowed, 40-something, mom of a teen. There's ups, downs, growth, humor. It's not great lit; but, it was perfectly readable and pleasant.
I really enjoyed this book. Give it a chance! It is lighthearted in some ways and also deals with some harder topics as well. Grief, motherhood, trying to keep your job when new people take over and trying to find yourself. There are nosy neighbors, gardens and exercise ball office chairs. My first read from this author, I will read more.
I was pleasantly surprised by this. It‘s about dealing with loss and change, but it‘s actually very sweet and not as heavy as I was expecting. It had some colorful characters, and a solid plot. (Pardon the gardening pun).
This is the result of my #AudioHairColoring today for anyone who was interested. My hair definitely came out purple and silvery purple. I like it, but I‘ll probably do a color rinse soon to try to even it out a bit. 💜
I‘m listening to the tagged audiobook while I‘m mixing up some magic... hopefully. 🤷🏻♀️💜💙 #AudioHairColoring
Serious climb up Spring Mt TBR! 9 Books including whopping big Middlemarch. Juliet Stevenson Audiobook was perfection. 3 more #readwhatyouloveproject2019 with Chronicles of St Mary's. Read my first Neil Gaiman for #booksandbrewsclub and promptly read another. Sprinkle in a few friend's recommendations and kept up with Readalongs. 🧗♂️📚🤓

Deeply disappointed that main character Paige never wears anything remotely like the gorgeous cove. It's all dowdy outdated business wear, cut offs & stained tshirts. Pet Peeve of mine when cover doesn't match character. Aside from that it's a great story on dealing with grief, the suburban obsession with turfgrass, crazy office politics & gardening as therapy. I personally work out my worries with weeding.👩🌾

Paige Moresco has lost her beloved husband, her boss, and may be about to lose her job. Amid her struggles to help her son overcome the fear his father's death has left him with, Paige finds a diversion that means more in its randomness than she could have ever expected.
This novel was genuinely funny and genuinely touching without being the least bit sappy.
This was surprisingly charming! I typically avoid books like this, but after reading a few reviews, and noticing a few people who usually read my genre of choice (sci-fi) say they enjoyed it, I decided to select it as my Amazon First read for March. It was light and funny and sweet!
Not my typical type of read, but right now I‘m in the middle of a lot of heavy sci-fi and I needed something light and fun. This book, about a woman who finds herself through gardening after her husband dies, has been a lovely palate cleanser so far!
🌧 Rainy Sunday morning got me like...
Since I‘m too lazy to actually go to the gardening center, how bout I just make a cuppa and read about someone else‘s adventures? 🤔
I‘m excited to have received the ARC for Digging In!

This is the book I chose for March's #AmazonFirstReads . The others just didn't sound very good, so I hope this one is decent! What did everyone else choose?
How could I resist one more for #marchtbr from Amazon First Reads? She's wearing green polkadot wellies and yellow sun hat.
