I live this series and have been catching up on the newest titles after a brief hiatus. Have to say that, just like the book characters, I'm also not 100% adjusted to three idea of Sarah as Mrs. Malloy, but I love the way Thompson is exploring the themes of careers for women and women's rights in a way that feels authentic to both the characters and three historical period.

I like finding series with interesting characters who grow so when I stumbled upon the Gaslight Mysteries earlier this year I was most pleased. 19 books later and I'm finally caught up :) Perfect series for someone who enjoys historical cozies. Main characters are a midwife and a copper so the reader gets the wonderful chance to explore the many different facets of late 1900s New York City.

Another in the Gaslight Mystery series. Frank and Sarah Malloy enter the world of 1890s women's colleges to solve a murder. I figured out whodunnit about halfway through the story, but it was still an enjoyable read.
