The Curl Up and Dye
The Curl Up and Dye | Sharon Sala
2 posts | 5 read | 6 to read
Wally Lamb meets Steel Magnolias in this story of LilyAnn Bronte, the Peachy-Keen Queen, which in Blessings, Georgia, was epitome of success. Those were the best days of her life... "Poor LilyAnn," the local ladies lament. "She sure is stuck in the past." Eleven years ago, LilyAnn Bronte was the Peachy-Keen Queen of Blessings, Georgiathe prettiest, smartest, and most popular girl in town, going steady with the star quarterback, a high school career on the fast track to success. Then Randy Joe was killed in Iraq, and somehow LilyAnn just let herself go to seed. Ruby, Mabel Jean, Vera, and Vesta of the Curl Up and Dye have been itching to give LilyAnn a makeover, but she knows it would make more than a new hairstyle for her to get her life back. Until one fateful day, when a handsome stranger roars into town, and LilyAnn has a revelation. Maybe the best is yet to come... Praise for Color Me Bad: "This is Southern fiction at its absolute best! I, for one, can't wait to visit Blessings, Georgia again!"Sharon's Garden of Book Reviews Praise for Sharon Sala: "Sharon Sala is one of those gifted writers able to touch your heart."Night Owl Reviews "Sala [has a] rare ability to bring powerful stories to life."RT Book Reviews "Ms. Sala's characters are so well created...I could tear myself apart."Long and Short Reviews

These are next up for the weekend. I‘ve read the first maybe 10-11 In Death books but it was YEARS ago and I‘ve been feeling for awhile pulled to start the series over. So we‘ll see. The other I‘ve had on my shelf more than a couple years. #25infive

TheBookgeekFrau Lovin‘ the idea of curl up & dye based on the cover alone😍 7y

ChrysFey I read about the sand # if In Death books years ago. I loved them but stopped. However, I continued to grow my collection. I‘m still missing some, but when I start again (and I keep telling myself I need to) I‘ll be able to read a lot in a row from my shelf. 🙂 7y
Andrew65 That‘s one big series! Will definitely help progress your time. 😂 7y
Bookcation74 I binge read all of the In Death books a couple years ago and now I really look forward to a new one twice a year - but the early ones are the best! 7y
Debiw781 I‘m actually up to date on the In Death series 7y
Bostonmomx2 @Debiw781 I think I knew that. There‘s what, 874 books out now? 😜 7y
Debiw781 @Bostonmomx2 875, you missed one 😂😂😂 7y
Bostonmomx2 @Debiw781 lol I was just sitting here reading and remembering how much I wanted an auto-chef. Wouldn‘t that be awesome. 7y
Debiw781 @Bostonmomx2 oh yes, the autochef is one must-have invention.... although I think your finances still determine the quality 😑 7y
