It was still fun, although I found the mc, Florrie, to be a bit old fashioned for her actual age. She also screamed a lot, and instead of telling someone she wasn‘t interested in him she kept going out with him or lying to him about a new relationship in order not to hurt his feelings. I hate that. Still it‘s a pick.

Listened to this one for FOTL. It was a fun little whodunnit to keep me company during weekend chores. The audiobook was kinda like if Siri was reading a book to me so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. But still fun for what it is - a “cozy mystery” that is brain candy to relax.

Book is set in Washington, DC, featuring Florrie Fox, a colouring book artist & manages a bookstore. Setting is great but everything else doesn‘t work for me. I couldn‘t warm up to Florrie, some characters felt caricature, the murder investigation is ridiculous & romance part is laughable. Only cool thing is the front & back cover of the paperback copy showing an elaborate drawing where readers can colour in (I read on ebook).

On a murder mystery kick. Came across this one on Libby and can't stop listening. I love a mystery with an unlikely sleuth.

Been sick on & off since late October with bronchitis,now chronically inflamed bronchial tubes.Chest X-ray today,blood work,doxycycline & high doses of prednisone for two weeks.Hate taking such heavy duty meds, especially Prednisone....but I want to be well. Not contagious so I can be at work-I am happy about. 1& 1/2 more days till 🎅🏻break!

Wow, what a book! This novel had me hooked from the first few pages with the beautiful descriptions of the beautiful book store, Color Me Read. When I first received this ARC from Kensington, I was over the moon not only did the story sound captivating but the cover was amazing! Not only did it have a beautiful and intricate design wrapped around the cover, you could customize it by coloring it anyway you wanted! #bookreccs

5 Stars! The story provides a compelling mystery which is all solved neatly at the end. I enjoyed all the secrets that come to light during the book. There‘s humor, and a cute cat and dog to love. The book is a page-turner, and thrilling to lose yourself in, and I highly recommend this Debut to Cozy Mystery fans! The author includes delicious sounding recipes at the end.
