There‘s some fascinating insights in this book. A lot to chew on. Not sure I buy the timelines Michio Kaku details, but it‘s fascinating to think about what our future could look like in 100 years — and beyond.

I enjoyed this book. It delves into various aspects of humans and living on earth. It also goes into what we would have to do to explore our solar system and beyond. It gives a bit of astrological history, and a glance into what could be coming in the near future.

Blown-away! I am still soaking with enormous information that I might need to take a moment to process everything. I am delighted that I decided to pick up this book. The Future of Humanity by Michio Kaku is very readable and packed with fascinating information. It is an examination of the possibility of life outside our own world, the possibility of unifying the theory of relativity and quantum mechanics, 👇

Will humans live on Mars? Will we even travel further? When? How?

All these questions and many more are being answered by Michio Kaku in this extremly well-written book.

It's easy to read, even if you're not very familiar with physics and astronomy. But it helps, of course. I've learned a lot of new things about what the future might holds for us.

I enjoyed reading this book. Kaku talks about not only the scientific/physics part of our future-escaping-from-earth-possibilities but also how humans would need to entertain ourselves on the way to another planet for example, which, I think, makes his approach more « global » and « realistic » in a way. This is irrelevant to his field but I‘d love to know how he thinks about saving the planet with our technologies instead of escaping from it.

Very good, interesting read about many different topics related to our future, how to get to Mars and colonize Mars, transhumanism, etc.

Great audiobook that gives an overview of science-past and present so we can hypothesize about the future. I liked the use of current sci-fi movies and books to give us an entry into the future of space travel and the universe. Not too technical (with the exception of string theory) and enjoyable to listen to!

I love Michio Kaku‘s books. I have listened to this twice and read parts of it on the Kindle! Fascinating survey of humanity as a future spacefaring species, from Elon Musk, Travel to Mars through exoplanets to immortality and the end of the universe. Aliens, androids, nanobots, asteroid mining, warp drives - all based on solid science yet written for the layperson, peppered with science fiction references. Great casual science. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pop science books are totally my thing and I tend to really like all of them. I‘ve read a lot of ideas in this book in other places but that‘s okay. I thought the parts about spaceships were awesome. My only complaint is that the third part of the book was so jammed with information that it can be overwhelming. It‘s hard to describe string theory within just part of a book. Otherwise, cool read.

A dinosaur on a space shuttle is the best mental image I‘ve had all day.

I‘ve been looking forward to this one for awhile. I need to be packing my bookshelves soon so I‘m going to try to knock this one out before it‘s time to pack the books!

The comfort people get from religion, I get from reading about science and space. Michio Kaku is one of my auto-buy authors. This one repeats some things from his previous books, but I love the focus on the most likely paths humanity will take / are already taking to get to other planets. Mars, here we come! 🌌☄🚀

Got up to 59 degrees outside today! I took a nice hour walk while listening to Tell Me More by Kelly Corrigan, and then read this book on our steps for 2+ hours. Nothing like reading outside about the work to make interplanetary exploration possible to celebrate Earth Day! 🌍🚀🌌☀️💕

This is utterly fascinating and written in a way that was easy to understand. Kaku mixes science with fiction (pulled from pop culture, books, etc) in order to explain what could or couldn‘t happen in the future.

I was surprised how easy it was to grasp the ideas and loved the examples he gives. His love of science is evident in his writing and very contagious.

Highly highly recommend!

I thought this was an interesting read. It definitely got in depth in science by the end, much of which was over my head... still cultivated a number of thoughts about our future as a collective world culture/ human race.

This book is so FASCINATING! I learned a lot about space travel and the universe. For the most part it is written in an understandable way, although, the physics heavy information towards the end was a bit more difficult. I highly recommend this if you have any interest in space exploration. Pub: 2/20 #netgalley
