Tangle of Need
Tangle of Need: The Psy-Changeling Series | Nalini Singh
7 posts | 22 read | 6 to read
Adria, wolf changeling and resilient soldier, has made a break with the past. Now comes a new territory, and a devastating new complication: Riaz, a SnowDancer lieutenant already sworn to someone else. For Riaz, the primal attraction he feels for Adria is a staggering betrayal. For Adria, his dangerous lone-wolf appeal is beyond sexual. It consumes her. It terrifies her. It threatens to undermine everything she has built of her new life. But fighting their wild compulsion toward one another proves a losing battle. Their coming together is an inferno ... and a melding of two wounded souls who promise each other no commitment, no ties, no bonds. Only pleasure. Too late, they realise that they have more to lose than they ever imagined. Drawn into a cataclysmic Psy war that may alter the fate of the world itself, they must make a decision that might just break them both.

This one's about a SnowDancer lieutenant and senior soldier, both of whom we've met before. We also learn something new about the mate bond that's so popular in these books.

If you are looking for a serious read, do not read these books. If you are feeling a need to escape into a formula-driven guilty pleasure romance where strong women happen across a man who adores/seduces/empowers her to become a power couple on equal footing with some fun sex scenes that you hope no one catches you reading, you could read these books. Thank you electronic readers (Kobo) for allowing me to read these books in stealth mode.

Bibliogeekery Amazing!! 🏳️‍🌈 Ontario is about to become such a hellscape. Ugh. 7y
AiBBot Alberta has been there. 7y
AiBBot I changed my initial post. The photo is a picture of Alberta‘s Premier Notley at the Pride Parade. It gave me hope and joy to see the lovely, intelligent and powerful woman that leads my province stand up for all people. If she can be voted in Alberta, there is hope for the world. 7y

I am so close to the end of my reread, and the beginning of the books in the series I have yet to read. Excitement is mounting! Haha 😂

This one is slower than the others, but I love it. It gives me hope for things to come, and shows us a glimpse of the pleasant domesticity of the Snowdancer pack. ❤

Definitely a calm before the storm though!

LibrarianJen This is the last one I've read of this series. I have the next ready to go, but I have to wait to get through my book club book first. 8y
Bookworm54 @LibrarianJen oh you are in for a treat! Heart of Obsidian is amazing, Kaleb is a very interesting character ☺ 8y

One of the reasons I like this particular book in the Psy-Changeling series, is that the romance is so much more complicated and emotionally complex than the others. It doesn't end up as clear cut, but the two changelings form a relationship while healing each other's pain.

I'm also glad that I read Wild Embrace in between this and Kiss of Snow as I am picking up little pieces in the book that tie in with the short stories 💕

My preliminary #tbr for @24in48 this weekend!

I will be starting a little late (2:30pm my time) as I have a lot of stuff this morning. However my partner is out all day, so from then on it is uninterrupted reading time 😍

I'm not sure what I will fancy so there are a couple of short story anthologies, a range of genres, and I also have Born A Crime on audiobook to try. It will be my first ever audiobook so I'm hoping I enjoy it ☺

This one read different than the others. It was a bit slower, and the actionable events weren't as big as they usually are. I think maybe it's meant to be a calm before the storm because a storm is definitely coming.

Bookworm54 I actually really liked this one because it was so different to the other stories of couples :) 8y
LibrarianJen @Bookworm54 I liked it too. It threw me for a loop at first, but it was good. 8y
