From the #1 New York Times- and USA Today-bestselling author of the Rosemary Beach and The Vincent Boys series, Abbi Glines delivers another smoldering, compulsively readable YA romance with As She Fades. On the night of her high school graduation, Vale McKinley and her boyfriend Crawford are in a terrible car accident that leaves Crawford in a coma. They were supposed to spend the summer planning for college, for a bright future full of possibility. Together. Instead, Vale spends long days in the hospital, hoping Crawford will awaken. Slate Allen, a college friend of Vale's brother, has been visiting his dying uncle at the same hospital. When he and Vale meet, she can't deny the flutter of an illicit attraction. She tries to ignore her feelings, but she's not immune to Slate's charm. Slowly, they form a cautious friendship. Then, Crawford wakes up . . . with no memory of Vale or their relationship. Heartbroken, Vale opts to leave for college and move on with her life. Except now, she's in Slate's territory, and their story is about to take a very strange turn.Glines' millions of fans will adore As She Fades, a novel as romantic as it is full of twists and unexpected turns.

I thoroughly enjoyed this read. It was well written and had an interesting twist to it.
I found myself I tears during one scene which was told with such realism.
I‘m looking forward to reading another of Abbi‘s books soon 😊

Reggie Lol, how funny, I wanted to jump in and say that‘s from this drag queen Bianca Del Rio but I forgot she said it when she was playing Judge Judy on a drag race challenge. Lol 6y

I just finished this book and it was great. the horrible things they go through and the love that prevails is amazing. I do have to say that part one was way better than part two. I don‘t really believe part two is necessary. But it was a great book and I‘d read it all over again. Definitely a 8/10 💗💗💗

I use to like this author‘s books but I started reading her books back in 2011 when she first published her ebooks on amazon. I think it‘s time to part ways with her.

The synopsis for this book wasn‘t what the book was about and I felt duped and angry. There was a lot of doubles standards. I rolled my eyes for the first part of the book and sighed a lot in the second part due to all the ridiculousness.

GypsyKat Ugh! Don‘t you hate it when an author you once liked goes downhill? 7y
That-Bookish-Hiker @GypsyKat yes! I think I‘ve grown as a reader too so that may be why I just can‘t read her stuff anymore. Also she writes the same characters just different names for each book. I loved her earlier stuff but I think it may be time for her to try to write a new type of book. 7y

Abbi Glines is one of my favorite authors. Her new standalone, “As she Fades,” released yesterday and it looks amazing on my shelf.

Such a lovely book written from the view of Vale, who is trying to come to terms with her long time boyfriend, who remains in a coma, as a result of a car collision. This is a well written, quickly read book with good character development, all who show how difficult life can be at 18, when adult decisions need to be made. Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this as an ARC for an honest opinion.
