Read some more Junji Ito this morning alongside a concerned Casey. (He thinks horror is scary. Yeah, dude; that‘s kinda the point.) #MFMarch

Not my favourite Ito. While his art was beautiful and scary as usual, the stories fell flat, felt disjointed and cut short. I‘d say this collection of short stories were mostly of the body horror nature, and that usually isn‘t my favourite. Overall, a meh.
⭐️⭐️
Is it that time of year for me to scare myself reading an Ito? Yep, yep it is. Here we go. 👻☠️🎃
Such a bizarre and surreal collection of short stories.
Lots of twisted cosmic and body horror with illustrations that have forever been burned into my mind.
Ha How I am gonna feel when they do the angiogram (I know its not a direction but.. still!) Ha! Anyway, I love Ito's horror!

This is a great collection of short horror Manga. I love the twists and turns of a great Junji Ito story. Of course, the artwork is fantastic, too. The dust jacket is on the right, the book without jacket is on the left.
The nature of Junji Ito‘s brilliant works best in tales such as this. Eerie, creepy, and short, disturbing bursts of otherworldly *strange*.
If you‘re not familiar with his works and curious, start here.
(My last finish of the #SummersEndReadathon! 🎉📖🥂)
It‘s my birthday and my dude has to work super late, so I woke up to my birthday treats on the couch. Will have to crack this one right away.
😱😱😱😱😱😱
I wish I could take a picture where you can see ALL the details of this horror manga cover!
As a short story collection, Fragments of Horror was a strong one, with most the the tales being good and a few being fantastic.
I loved the haunting Whispering Woman and the bizarre Dissection-chan. Red Turtleneck was disgusting in the best way possible.
Very much recommended to horror lovers. Avoid if squeamish, as it has a lot of body horror.
My very first manga, d'aww. And of course I loved it as it was absolutely bonkers in all the best ways 😍
Is there anything more frightening than freakishly huge lips? 😱
