I was totally sold when the description said it was like When Harry Met Sally. 2 hours into the audiobook and it was just the female lead waxing poetic about life and her toxic relationship.
It was like listening to a freshmen English major expound on the classics at me.

I was going to finish this just to make it go away, but that seemed like a waste of time. From the beginning, I didn't like the characters much. They got better for a while, but then I felt like they went back to being insufferable. I wasn't enjoying it at all, which is disappointing, bc I have loved this cover since this first released

I‘ll admit in the beginning I wanted to reach into the pages and strangle Eve. OMG!! She grated my nerves bad. But I have problem of never giving up on a book.

I am so happy I stuck with it. Eve and Ben had the craziest love journey I have ever read. The mix between a cool ass a cucumber guy and a girl on the verge of being the next Sybil is a really wild ride.

I thought this was a cute, if not terribly original story. An NYC Love Story, with some focus on 9/11. The main character, Eve, is terribly flawed, but she knows it. The story takes place over about 10 years, and ups and downs. And extra special credit for it containing characters with both of my daughters‘ names

Aaaack! ALL my audio holds came in in the last 3 days! Is it humanly possible to finish these in 2 weeks? (Sorry John McCain, But you‘re gonna be the lowest priority)

Just started this audio.. first impressions are good though! First, I love that the MC is “just Eve” (not Evelyn) because my daughter is “just Eve.” Second, it‘s reminding me of Rainbow Rowell‘s Books, so I hope it keeps up that way!

This was just a terrible story with absolutely no redeeming characters. Recommend passing on this one.

Ok, quick change in books. Sorry not sorry!

I almost cashed out, but I bailed on two other reads recently so I decided to see it through. I had a hard time rooting for the “love” story in the book. I suppose the way Ben and Eve got together was a lot like what happens in real life, but in fiction format it all seemed a little too “so what?” for my taste. Also, the story alternated between Ben and Eve‘s viewpoints, but I walked away feeling we got a little too much of Eve and not enough Ben.

Nope. Eve is quite terrible and frankly annoying and rude as hell. No thanks- bailed 20% of the way in.

Hoping to finally break the string of duds I've tried to read recently with this one. Anyone read this yet? #litsyatoz #letterT

Eve and Ben are just acquaintances from college until one night changes their relationship. Ben is an engineer who doesn‘t like to talk much and prefers rationality. Eve is a music writer who is afraid of commitment and veers toward the irrational. Their banter is funny and the developing relationship is sweet. I have been reading heavier books lately and this is a perfect light-hearted balance to those. Pub 1/23
