#MountTBRChallenge Readers! Tell us which physical book has been on your TBR shelf the longest. Is it on your TBR for this year or anytime soon? This is not an exercise in shame, but rather a celebration that we are hacking away at that TBR mountain and finding hidden gems! #OldestTBRbook
Bookzombie I‘m not sure. Maybe Matterhorn and it is on my list to read this year. 7y
Matterhorn: A Novel of the Vietnam War
DivaDiane 20 years. That‘s how long it‘s been on my shelves. I blame the actual book‘s size. It‘s a brick. It is 7y
Otherland: City of Golden Shadow
LeahBergen Hmm... I think I‘ve had a few on my TBR for over 20 years. 😂 7y

AnneCecilie I have at least unread book bought in 2004 and several more from 2005. I'm not sure if I will get to these, they are mostly classics and I have to see where the moods take me 😀 7y
Pamwurtzler It‘s been there since I joined GR - tHe first book on my list is 7y
The Tales of Beedle the Bard
Ash.on.the.line Probably pride and prejudice I‘ve had it forever, I‘ll probably like it and yet I keep putting it off! I can‘t wait to tackle this mountain lol! 7y
DivaDiane @LeahBergen yay! I‘m not alone! I know I bought them for good reason. and in the past couple years of making an effort to read them, I have been delighted with those 20 year old books! 7y
DivaDiane @Ash.on.the.line That‘s ok, I have a couple of unread books by my fave author Ursula K. LeGuin. It‘s like I‘m saving them for when I know there won‘t be any new books by her forthcoming. 7y
DivaDiane @AnneCecilie That‘s perfectly fine, I feel you! 7y
DivaDiane @Pamwurtzler So, what, 8 years? 7y
Pamwurtzler Ha! Yep. It‘s a tiny little book and I love HP - no idea why I haven‘t read it yet. I saw someone review it recently - maybe I‘ll get to it too. 7y
DivaDiane @Pamwurtzler Go for it! I bet you‘ll be happy you did! 7y
GlassAsDiamonds Probably 20yrs as well... (and embarrassingly the same copy has moved, unread, from Sydney to Shanghai to Mumbai and it‘s STILL on my TBR...🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️). 7y
The Lord of the Rings: One Volume
DivaDiane 🤣🤣I think you might have me beat! My oldest unread book has “only” moved around Europe: Frankfurt (several apartments), Heidelberg, London, Hannover (Germany), Paris, and now England (again)! But then, I‘ve schlepped all of my books around so it‘s no special feat for Otherland. 7y
