And now for something completely different, this month‘s Graphic Novel Book Club pick.

Redneck is a story about Vampires that run a BBQ restaurant (with help from some humans named Phil and Evil). The narrator is a vamp named Bartlett and he‘s so old that he remembers the Alamo. Hell, he got out of that situation in the nick of time. Bartlett goes out to make sure that JV‘s boys don‘t do anything stupid at the strip joint. He wakes up the next day lying on the front porch and all hell has broken loose. #redneck #donnycates

I was hoping for more Texas flair, but this could've been set anywhere in the south. You can't just throw in a BBQ joint (briefly) and a vamp from the Alamo and suddenly it's Texas 😒 but, I am interested in seeing how the family makes it, so I might pick up the next volume.

Hardly got anything adulting or reading-wise done over this last week and this is my last day before back to regularly scheduled programming. So I'm going to try and hit these between loads of laundry!
