It has an interesting premise but gets to corny for my taste.
You might not be able to tell from the cover, but this book is really fun. It's the first in a series and features really interesting world building and great characterization. And there is LGBTQIA2S+ rep across the spectrum.
I found out about it from Bookriot's SFF Yeah podcast, and now all I want to do is read the rest of the series (and play Fortnite lol).
SCI-FI fans and conspiracy theorists will enjoy this far into the future tale. Callie is the ship‘s captain and you will like her
My #summertbr stacks... summer break is in full swing and I couldn‘t be happier to have these to dive into. ❤️
Here are my books for the July-September prompts for #booked2018 ! They were all solid, but the tagged book was my favorite from this lot. @BarbaraTheBibliophage @4thhouseontheleft @Cinfhen

I know it's Spooky Season right now, but I just gotta talk about this super-fun sci-fi novel XD. Fast-paced and very action-driven, but the heart of it is a crew of misfits who are loveable on their own but even more loveable when they're together. Great for fans of Firefly and the new Star Trek movies :D.
Thanks to @AngryRobot for the ARC :D.
Based on the blurb, this looks like a story about a crew who aren't quite Lawful but most likely Good, and mysterious doings and happenings involving aliens and super-old space ships that could either open the universe up, or end everything in it. Getting some really strong Mass Effect-but-not-quite vibes from this, so I'm totally onboard XD.
