TODAY‘S PROMPT: TELL ME ABOUT IT, STUD
“Tell me about it” - Should she really have done what she did? That seemed to be the only way to keep her baby.
I always felt something sinister was about to happen, and was kept on edge and feared for Daphne.

Sort of strange, definitely thought it was going to be more of a domestic thriller and not really more suspenseful.
Well that was completely mind blowing! I‘ll admit, until about 120 or so pages in I wasn‘t sure if I even wanted to continue reading, but then I couldn‘t wait to figure out what on earth was happening. You need to pay some definite attention while reading this one! I didn‘t see what was coming at all!
ps - my reading light always messes with my pics 😂 sorryyyy
Halfway through! 😝
Thank you @Captivatedbybooks ! I was Just talking to a friend about how we haven't read a Carol Goodman in awhile. What a great and timely pick! #marchmysterybookswap.
Daphne and Laurel are both new mothers who are suffering from postpartum depression. They become good friends fast but one of them commits suicide. Was it Laurel or was it Daphne? Was it really a suicide.? This book jumps between the characters and their journal writing. I didn't see any of the twist coming. This book was a little dark at times as they explored how everyone was feeling about certain issues!
Watching one of my all time favorite shows (Grey's Anatomy) and trying to get into this book. I haven't wanted to really read to much this week. Hoping to change that!
Nothing like starting out my day at urgent care with my daughter. At least I‘ve got a good book to keep me company. Hoping she doesn‘t have the flu.
When you just go into Sam's Club to get just granola bars and you walk out with books. At least they are books that I have been wanting to buy! I have no self control when it comes to books!
There are many sneaky, conniving, untrustworthy, deceitful characters in THE OTHER MOTHER.
THE OTHER MOTHER had a pretty clever and brilliant storyline.
As you near the last pages of the book you will still be asking yourself "Just who is the other mother" and "Is anyone who they say they are?" 4/5

I really liked this! I read it so fast-I just couldn‘t stop. The severity of the postpartum issues of both Daphne and Laurel make for such great unreliability in terms of narrators. I didn‘t know what I could trust and for much of the time, I didn‘t even trust the narrator to be who she said she was. Honestly, this is quite a ride! Such twists! Some bigger than others.
It‘s weird to enjoy a book about such a serious topic so much, but I did.
This week is all about new thrillers / mysteries / suspense written by women. Learn more about these books on my blog or right here on Litsy. http://www.bethfishreads.com/2018/03/10-new-thrillers-written-by-women.html?m=1
Just finished this book.
I almost didn‘t continue with it because it was pretty dark and addressed some sensitive issues, but it turned out to be quite a good psychological thriller.
I also enjoyed Carol Goodman‘s book THE OTHER WIDOW.
Review of THE OTHER MOTHER will be on my blog on March 29.
I have a teaser on Goodreads.
@MinDea THANKS...fun questions.
1. This book is pretty dark. Will give it a few more pages since it is a thriller which I like.
2. I can only pick one???😍 I will go with Hershey's chocolate bar with almonds.
3. Baby Boomer
4. Land's End - my winter coat.
5. No plans except for church.
This one was a bit confusing at times, but if you like unreliable narrators & plot lines that twist back & forth, this may be right up your alley. I enjoyed it for the most part, though I thought it could‘ve maybe been tightened up some. Due out in March 2018.
It‘s been a couple weeks and I was starting to go into withdrawal, but finally....BOOK MAIL!
