Second book in the Sandhamn Murders series was another great mystery set in the beautiful Stockholm Archipelago. The captain of a sailboat set to take part in the Round Gotland Race is fatally shot just as the starting gun is fired and the committee of the Royal Swedish Yacht Club find themselves suspects. It kept me turning the pages for the mystery, the ongoing personal stories and the backdrop of summertime on Sandhamn.

One of Sandhamn Island‘s most prestigious residents is killed aboard his sailing yacht. Oscar Juliander was a rich lawyer and deputy chairman of the Royal Swedish Yacht Club. It seems like a tragic accident, but they find evidence of foul play. Police detective Thomas Andreasson teams up with local lawyer Nora Linde to investigate. As they work to uncover clues, they face resistance from an elite world where nothing but appearance matters.

This is a pretty interesting series, set on a resort island in Sweden. Interesting mysteries, and nicely drawn characters. Setting is used well also.

Well, I couldn‘t put this one down after I started it earlier today (it was a quick read) so I guess I squeezed in one more before 2019! #readinthenewyear I enjoyed getting to know more about the characters and wish the rest of the books in the series were translated into English!

Well, earlier today I thought that Becoming would be the last book I started in 2018 and first finished in 2019...but I could not stop thinking about this book (the sequel to the one I just read) so I had to start it. I‘ll be switching back and forth between books I‘m sure! 📚 #readinthenewyear

A good second book in this police officer/lawyer series set in Sweden. I figured out the mystery about 2/3 of the way through, but was totally entertained. I wish there was more interaction between Nora and Thomas - misses that from the first book. #mystery #kindleunlimited
