This book has so many twists and turns. Some were obvious and most seemed obvious but we're something different. It gave me so many feelings and I kept going between which character to feel bad for. I highly recommend this book to anyone!!

Reading this by Louise Jensen. #louisejensen #louisejensenbooks #thesurrogate
Although the ending was quite a twist, the rest of the storyline leading up to the end felt slow while reading. It was an easy read, unpredictable, but the characters could have been better developed.
This had some pretty good twists toward the end that I didn't see coming! Everything was a little over the top but not in a bad way. It's amazing what the main character was willing to do to have the child she always wanted.
This sounds a bit menacing.....one for me ! 99p for kindle too

I was excited about reading this but it left me feeling blah. Kat is infertile, she and her husband have had several failed adoptions before they hire Kat's childhood friend to be their surrogate. What could possibly go wrong? A lifetime is secrets and avoiding the truth comes back to haunt everyone involved.
This book has potential, some good twists and turns at the end finally, but it just didn‘t do it for me.
I desperately need to finish this tonight. It‘s in my way.
Lunchtime read 😆
"Over time I have stopped asking questions because it‘s never one-sided, is it? Finding out information. If we have that conversation, sooner or later I‘ll be the one expected to talk about . . . my past, & that‘s the last thing I want to do. Anyway, ultimately, we are all the same, aren‘t we? Skin & bones. Truth & lies. We all have our stories to tell. Regret we bury. Hope we try to tether lest we begin to think we can be something we‘re not."
Almost half way through my first read by Louise Jensen. I‘ve only heard great things about her books!
“She can give you everything you want... But can you trust her? Kat and her husband Nick have tried everything to become parents. Then a chance encounter with Kat‘s childhood friend Lisa gives them one last chance. Just when the couple‘s dream seems within reach, Kat begins to suspect she‘s being watched and Nick is telling her lies...How far would you go, to protect everything you love?” #TBR #TheSurrogate #Shoes 👠 #ReadingResolutions
Loved this book.
Not really in my typical wheelhouse, but I read it because my co-worker recommended it. I‘m not a big fan of books like these because the plot always strikes me as a bit over the top and improbable/unlikely, but fans of books like Gone Girl will find much to like here.
The Surrogate is perfect for any fan of the genre and will leave you both speechless and mindblown. The story starts out rather conventional and gives you that false security that you have already figured out what is probably going to happen… And then the plot twists bombs start falling and you will discover you were SO wrong about everything. Oh yes, this book will mess with your mind and you will love every single minute of it.
4,5/5 stars
My current situation: reading The Surrogate with Delilah Bard snoozing on my lap. Going to finish this story tonight no matter what! I NEED to know if my suspicions are right.
