Wicked Women of Northeast Ohio
Wicked Women of Northeast Ohio | Jane Ann Turzillo
4 posts | 2 read | 10 to read
In Wicked Women of Northeast Ohio, author Jane Ann Turzillo recounts the misdeeds of ten dark-hearted women who refused to play by the rules. They unleashed their most base impulses using axes, guns, poison and more. You'll meet Perry's Velma West, a mere slip of a girl who was unfortunately too near a hammer during an argument. New Philadelphia's Ellen Athey, no lady herself, had a similar problem with an axe. Ardell Quinn, who operated the longest-running brothel in Cleveland, would simply argue that she was a good businesswoman. Grim? Often. Entertaining? Deliciously so.

I love buying these souvenir type book while visiting different cities. I was so excited to meet this author at a craft fair a few months ago and had to buy this book - especially since I‘m a true crime fan! This is definitely a book of infamous Ohio #badgirls.

Pickpick

I finished this #spooky book about evil, wicked women that committed crimes in Northeastern Ohio. Some women poisoned their victims, others used guns or an axe to commit their crimes. The author does a thorough job of laying out what information is available in each of the stories. #uncannyoctober

emilyhaldi They all look so proper on the cover photo 👒 7y

Such a nice surprise today! I went to a craft fair by Lake Erie with @Reviewsbylola and found the author of Unsolved Murders & Disappearances in Northeast Ohio. She was with fellow author of the book Legends and Lost Treasure of Northern Ohio! Im anxious to read some more books by these ladies.

Kaye @Mdargusch You lucky thing 😍 How neat would that be ? Did you buy some books from them and get them autographed ? 7y
Reviewsbylola She sure did! @kaye 7y
Reviewsbylola We even told them about you and all your true crime recommendations. 😄😄 They weren't familiar with Litsy but wanted to check it out. @kaye 7y
