This has been languishing in my BD wishlist for a while. I think it provides an intimate glimpse into her private and creative life. Based on diaries du Maurier kept between 1920 and 1932, the book recounts her “difficult relationship with her father, her education in Paris, her early love affairs, her antipathy towards London life, and her desperate ambition to succeed as a writer.” A must for du Maurier fans.
