Well-written; a reminder to enjoy the good in every day.

I read this on a road trip and was completely absorbed. It‘s a great look into how a child can change your life and a slow immersion into a non-typical family.

I probably wouldn‘t have picked this book up to read, I cannot even remember how it ended up on my TBR list and in my library holds. But, I‘m very glad I did. It is a well written, real telling of motherhood and relationships. I think every mom can relate to this book.

Bookclub pick and look forward to discussing it with them. Very well written and I can see why this was one of Reece Witherspoon‘s bookclub picks.

Savoring one more chapter before I head in for my yoga class. I‘m still figuring out what‘s happiness to me and whether there is a happily ever after - with myself and not a partner or a friend or a loved one. Are we every truly happy with ourselves - can we be? Always a riveting mystery that I shall seek, for as long as I can.

I‘m not always one for memoirs but this book was beautifully written. A sometimes harrowing read, filled with tears and sadness, joy and laughter.

What a journey. Heather is surprised by a pregnancy early in a relationship, & again when ready to raise a child alone, she learns hours into her girl‘s life that she has a life-threatening illness. Going on the title alone-I wasn‘t expecting this harrowing story but neither was I disappointed. The incredible strength of a new Mom who will go to any length to make sure her daughter has more than a 50/50 chance of seeing 30 years... is so touching.

This book gave me all the feels!

I thought I was ready for this book. I thought my heart was filled with enough happiness to read through this one. I was wrong. How foolish I was to think my heart was healed and strong to not cry in the middle of room with a book in hand and still cry some more as I drove in traffic thinking of the painful words written.

Love the story so far!

i love memoirs. especially on audio. especially when narrated by the author. this one about a new mom and her sick baby girl doesn‘t disappoint. 5⭐️

This book made me feel so many things, I‘m so glad to have read it and I can‘t wait to see what discussions come up from it. It‘s a lazy, hot day here with my animal menagerie peacefully sleeping I finally finished a book!

What a beautiful story. Could not put this book down.

Reading in the dog park while the pup runs off her energy. Picked this up for the Reese Witherspoon book club and I enjoy it so far.

Such a beautiful book about a beautiful family. The author did not hold back on depicting all the bad she also gave us the bad. Highly recommend.

I heard the author talking about her story on the Kirkus reviews podcast and it sounded awesome.

Sheesh. I just listened to this powerful 10-minute interview with the author and, despite not usually going in for memoir, particularly this kind, I absolutely need to read this one!
