This book started off really strong but I found it hard to follow
I really enjoyed this until the main character decided to take it all into his own hands. Then it got a little too far fetched for me.
Loved this book! A more suburban Big Little Lies feel
I knew nothing about Gucci Mane going into this. I googled him after I finished and discovered he was the one with the extravagant wedding! All you can do is root for him after finishing.
All of the twists in this could be seen a mile away, but how the book handled them was not as predictable. I really loved reading this. 5 stars!
I loved The Almost Sisters by Joshilyn Jackson so I was excited to go back to one of her earlier books. The overall themes between the two stories were way too similar. I also didn‘t like any of the characters. This was a dud for me.
This book gave me all the feels!
Not my favorite KH book but I still give it five stars because the woman can write! I thought the build up was way too long and the court moment seemed really unrealistic. But the main event and everything that came after was a “wow” for me.
I really wanted to love this book because THAT COVER and the title and the premise. I enjoyed it but it was just kind of flat. It‘s hard to connect with small pieces of many characters.
The beginning of this book was truly captivating. After the incident, I was so angry with the situation I had to take a break. The book kind of slowed down for me after that, but I enjoyed the complex characters and story.
I love when a book introduces me to a part of American history that I otherwise wouldn‘t have known about.
4/5 stars. I know there has to be some sort of “problem” in the story, but the problem was the worst part of this book. I just wanted them to get past that so I could enjoy the sappy love story!
Historical fiction about the influenza of 1918, and the messiness of life and love. 4/5 stars
This is an engaging book but it felt like it was trying too hard. The first twist was great but after that it seemed like they were just trying for shock value. (And it‘s 2018, can we finally stop comparing every book to Gone Girl?)
I‘m a sucker for a good foodie novel. This one had a lot of depth and a very interesting structure.
There‘s just something about old time circus stories that draws me in. I really enjoyed this even though I figured out the twist pretty early on.
This is between a 4 and 5. It made me SO uncomfortable the whole time I was reading it so I give the authors credit for that. And it was a page turner, especially in part two.
I made myself wait a year to read this after Sue Klebold‘s book. This was very hard to read in the first half due to the subject matter. It‘s very heavy on details but paints a clear picture of the killers original plan and gives a lot of perspective on the media‘s coverage of the event. There is a letter included within the book that Sue Klebold wrote to a victims family. It made me tear up. She is a class act.
I knew I was going to love this book as soon as I picked it up. 5/5 stars from me!
It's taking me forever to get through this book! It's not bad but it's not a page turner.
I wanted to read something different after three back to back thrillers.
This book was easy to read and went by quickly but I felt it was a little too long.
I really enjoyed this book and these characters. I need a follow up so I can check in on where they are now.
Rushing through this one because it expires on Overdrive tomorrow. I'm about halfway.
I was drooling the whole time I read this. The Italian scenery, food, and gelato made me jealous! This is a sweet YA read.
I know I'm way late reading this but I'm just getting into Jodi Picoult books. I'm about halfway through this one.
This book has been on my to-read list for FIVE years! I'm finally reading it.
Still early in this book but I'm enjoying it!
Good news - the story is as awesome as the cover! I loved this one.
