I had to laugh when at one point the main characters were making fun of their publicity when they get home and how the pictures would show Black Jack Geary dressed in a space suit carrying a huge gun (which is exactly the cover picture) although Geary has neither gone off ship in a space suit or touched a weapon through the whole series.
Great though for me. I love the tactics and logistics details.
pickWhile I'm still enjoying this story as I work my way through the second set in its series I'm finding that I almost need a guidebook. We get a listing of the fleet at the beginning of each book but I need a map of the star system, some renderings of the ships, and a map of the battles, as much as a 2D map could give of a 3D battle. I think it would enhance things and help me understand even more. On to the next!
