After their recent war with rogue vampires, Cat thinks a little rest and relaxation are in their future. But she's plagued by dreams of a Master vampire who claims to be from her past. As the dreams intensify and the shadowy figure in them proves to be more than a figment of her subconscious, she realizes there are parts of her past that have been hidden. To unlock these memories and deal with a growing danger to herself and Bones, Cat may have to venture all the way into the grave. But finding out the truth could rock what she knows about herself-- and her relationship with Bones. For someone who “doesn‘t like paranormal romance” I sure do read a lot of paranormal romance. This book had some pyrokinesis, hence the choice of filter. It was another good addition to the series, although soooo much drama. I much prefer the paranormal parts of PNR, not the romance parts.

Cat and Bones can‘t catch a break and luckily this makes for another great book. Turns out another vampire may have a claim on Cat, the ghouls of New Orleans have their own laws to follow and all this drama puts a major strain on Cat and Bones. Once again there‘s fantastic characters, great suspense and relationships that need to change and grow. I can‘t get enough of this series.

#Audiobook #Review: Destined for an Early Grave by Jeaniene Frost with @blackstonepublishing. This book is packed full of awesome secondary characters... my favorites have to be Marie Laveau and Vlad.⠀

Okay, why hasn't the rest of the series arrived in the post yet 😭😭 at least I can *hopefully* now focus on other books that I've started but put aside to spend time with Cat and Bones 🤞🏻can't believe how much I've got into this series!

melrailey The same thing happened to me. I love Cat and Bones and all the spinoffs. 7y

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I just love this series!! This installment lost one star for excessive stupidity on the part of one character, but overall the whole book was fabulous! #litsyatoz

This series is good for what it is - an attractive vampire, a half-human lady, a lot of attraction, and enough plot to keep me into the books for at least a few more. Quick reads, good palate cleansers between more challenging books, or for times life is too challenging for me to have much leftover effort for books. This is the Cheetos of books, but man I love Cheetos sometimes. Three stars.

aprilbapryll Is this the one with the British vampire that says Mate a lot? I tried listening to the audio and it was so poorly done I abandoned it. 8y
AnnabelleSpeaks @aprilbapryll Yep. I read this on my kindle (most of my listening is podcasts, not audiobooks), so I have no opinion on the audio. I'd bet most of these book-a-year series books have poor audio versions. Not likely to spring for much vocal talent for churn-through-it series books. 8y
