#HumbleHarvest

A #RedStack from my cookbook collection. I think I could have kept going with this one. So many red cookbooks out there, especially from back in the day. ❤️

A year or two ago I decided to try switching from multiple #cookbooks to one big one plus a binder of favourites. It‘s only been semi-successful, mainly because I still hate cooking. #riotgrams

Tamra Out of curiosity, what do you hate about it? I am guessing it‘s like me learning to like football. Ain‘t gonna happen. 6y
Melissa_J I totally understand. I also hate cooking. 6y
twohectobooks @Tamra basically everything! The stress of preparing multiple things in multiple pots, the time it takes, trying to figure out WHAT to make as a single person. Most of the time I‘d be happy if I could get my nourishment from a pill haha. 6y
twohectobooks @Melissa_J too bad we need to do it to eat! 6y

#photoadaynov16 @RealLifeReading Here is my cookbook love ❤️ I've collected these over the years. The most helpful is How To Cook Everything, otherwise most of these sit unused. Anyone else find that is the case?

RealLifeReading Definitely! I rarely take out my cookbooks these days 8y

For #augustphotochallenge I'm kind of cheating on my peach book... This book has multiple recipes on what to do with any fruit or vegetable, and even how to make things like ketchup and other condiments from scratch. I love to cook and this is a bible (in size and foodie substance).

SusanInTiburon When that book first came out in the late '90s, I passed on it. I thought, "I already have Fanny Farmer and Joy of Cooking and Cook's Illustrated and Julia Child, and, and, and. What do I need another all-purpose cookbook for?" When the 10-yr anniversary edition came out I caved in and now it's my go-to countertop cookbook. 8y
rachelm @SusanInTiburon exactly. We have the same cookbooks! We should share stack photos sometime haha 8y
SusanInTiburon @rachelm I could do cookbooks for a week! Love 'em! 8y
