This well written and well-researched book aligns so well with my professional philosophy of care and information provision as a Midwife and antenatal educator, that I am happy to recommend this book with no hesitations. In fact I have already gifted a copy to a soon to be birthing mother!
Tiny baby feet! 😍
I mentioned this book a few months back but I thought it was time for a revisit after certain events. I still stand by what an amazing book this is, no matter your birth choices. That's the point of the book, to show you you have choices, and to help you feel empowered with them. It gave me the confidence to have a home pool birth, just as I've seen it encourage others to have an elective c-section. Your birth, your choice ❤
Due our second boy in a couple of months and this book has been brilliant! I knew I wanted a home birth before I read it, but this book gave me the confidence to really believe in it and prepare well for it. It doesn't just talk about home birth though. It discusses all types of birth, and how to prepare well for them so they can all be positive experiences, even if it's a birth you didn't want or plan for. Make this the birth book you read!
