Environmental concerns become significant in Brunettis work when an investigator from the Carabiniere, looking into the illegal hauling of garbage, asks for a favor. But the investigator is not the only one with a special request. His father-in-law needs help and a mysterious woman comes into the picture. Brunetti soon finds himself in the middle of an investigation into murder and corruption more dangerous than anything hes seen before.

I was craving a vicarious travel read, so I picked up this series I‘ve sampled before, set in Venice. The Commissario Brunetti books are characters-driven mysteries that focus on capitalism and corruption, which isn‘t really my thing. So I didn‘t love it, but I did recommend it to my dad instead, because he loves character-driven mysteries and reading about capitalism and corruption 🤷‍♀️

Pens are giving out way too much rebounds and are not playing well. Leafs in the 📦 . Leads lead 3-0 after one period. Jarry is out at the start of the 2nd. Pens start the period in the 📦 Pens finally on the board with a little more than 5m to go. Pens on PP at the end of the 2nd. They score. 3-2. 4-2 (edited) 7y

writerlibrarian Leafs scored right at the end of the 2nd putting their lead back to 2 goals. Hornqvist got hot by the puck on the side of the head. He's out. Crosby scores. Matthews got hit weird. Pens started to play right too late. But the last period was exciting. Leafs held on. 4-3. (edited) 7y

Tonight's game is Pens vs Rangers. Jarry is in the net. Go Pens. #readingandwatchinghockey

writerlibrarian Pens have been on their heels with NY flying. Jarry has been denying them and Pens were opportunistic and they score on a 3 on 2. Sheary scores. 1-0 . Rangers score to tie the game at one. Pens in the 📦 and Schultz back in the locker room. 2nd period opens with a goal by Phil the thrill. And Rangers are going to the 📦. Pens on PP. No goal. NY ties the game at 2. Pens are pushing on PP hit a net with a ding. NY after a penalty score. 3-2 NY (edited) 7y
