Publishers Weekly

Connor, one of the three Dark Witches of Mayo, spends his days working at falcon school and his free time with his sister and cousin working on ways to defeat Cabhan or flirting with the local gals. He definitely wasn't expecting to fall in love with his life-long friend and fellow combatant in the fight, Meara. But their journey isn't easy or clear with plenty of obstacles, both magical and ordinary.

robinb I enjoyed this series. 😊 3y
K.Wielechowski @robinb I did too. Think it‘s my favorite of Roberts‘ trilogies. 3y
robinb @K.Wielechowski I really need to revisit some of her older books…it‘s been so long. She‘s so prolific though that it might take the rest of my days to get through them. 😂😂 3y

K.Wielechowski @robinb oh man I don‘t think I could ever keep up with her lol I found one of her books on my TBR shelf that I didn‘t even know I owned. 😂 3y
robinb @K.Wielechowski I totally relate! Sooo many books. Do you also read her In Death series under JD Robb? 3y
K.Wielechowski @robinb I haven‘t! Is it good? 3y
robinb 😂😂 There are currently 53 books in the series with the 54th due out in February. And she‘s still going strong. It‘s a futuristic detective/mystery/romance series. I love it! â¤ï¸ This is the first one, and I‘d definitely recommend going in order. (edited) 3y
K.Wielechowski @robinb Oh. My. Damn. 😳 Lol adding the first to my list. Thanks! 3y
robinb @K.Wielechowski I‘d love to hear what you think! 😊 3y

Tbh? I‘m disappointed with the romance between Connor and Meara. They say â¤ï¸ but I felt nothing more between the both of them. The dark sorcerer kept taunting them and sometimes? I think he‘s very boring as he kept sneaking up on them, spying them and trying to seduce them. 😂 #paranormal #trilogy

Just finished book one (Dark Witch) had to start reading Shadow Spell before I could go to bed. Hoping this one turned out as good as the first. Waiting to see what happens with my favorite characters.

Not as good as the first one in my opinion, but still a fun, witchy read.

I seem to recall Nora Roberts as being a really fun writer; good for palate cleanser. This series is just not up to her usual. Maybe it's because she produces so much and it's become rote for her, not sure. Either way, I'll finish the series because I need to see just how bad it can get.

Lynnsoprano This series is a retread of an older one. It seemed to me that all she really did was change the names and location. 7y
Shemac77 Ok good! I was getting the feeling that I was the only one who is not feeling this series. I'll read them all anyway because I can't let a series with only three books go unread. @Lynnsoprano 7y
Marla It wasn't my favorite of her series but I didn't think it was bad. 7y

Shemac77 It's not horrible but it doesn't feel like her usual either. Then again I haven't read her in quite awhile. I seem to recall her books as being well written and a lot of fun. @Marla 7y
Marla @Shemac77 I just finished Come Sundown and really liked it. Had a hard time putting it down. 7y
Shemac77 I've read others of hers and enjoyed them immensely. This doesn't even feel like her writing. Maybe I'm not in the proper "mood" for the series. I'll definitely give Come Sundown a try though. Thanks for the rec! @Marla 7y

I'm not necessarily a Nora Roberts fan, but I am really enjoying this trilogy! I love the descriptions of the Irish countryside and people. It's making me wish for a plane ticket!

I like Nora Roberts when I'm looking for something easy before bed. This wasn't bad, but it didn't really have anything new to offer either. The "Irish" dialect just seemed so contrived and forced. It bothered me a lot by the end of the book... I'll probably read the 3rd book right away since a coworker lent them to me, but I don't feel a huge pull to finish the story.
