2. I just started the Doctor Who book so it's too soon to tell. Elvira is great, definitely get the audio because she's great at telling her story. Work is kind of slow but I'm slogging through it.

I really do like the War Doctor and therefore enjoyed this book very much. Especially his friendship with Cinder is very touching. But also the background information about the Time Lords and the Time War were great to read. Doctor Who Extended Universe for the win! ❤️

So, the new year starts like the old one ended: with great new books ❤️

I just love him 😄

Got some orthodontic work done today and am finding it hard to eat. BF suggested I replace tomorrow's sandwich with soup. Naturally, I had to quote the War Doctor, in The Day of the Doctor: "What is 'Cup-a-Soup?'"

RIP John Hurt. The War Doctor is one of my favourite Doctors, and Control was brilliant.

Also fondly remembering an interview with Ian McShane where he said John asked him "Have you any idea how to turn [his mobile phone] on?" Ian: You have Facebook and Twitter but can't turn on your phone? John: "My wife runs those."
