Lily‘s writing voice is refreshing and doesn‘t talk down to the reader. Although I‘m not the target audience, she does a fine job of presenting her story. Incredibly fast read. Took me all of 2 hours or so. She‘s passionate about what she does and you can tell. Standing out in a crowd is much more rewarding than blending in.

"There is a greater happiness to be attained: the happiness of enjoying myself to the fullest during the one life I have and accepting myself for who I am." This book is deeply moving and empowering! Lily Collins is so open and honest and raw, she speaks from her heart with a fierceness and empowerment. This is her, and she's not ashamed. You shouldn't be ashamed of yourself either. A must read for any young woman learning to love herself.

Crappy lighting because I'm tired 😴 but I'm reading this book for work, it's funny cause it was on my TBR. But Lily came to my attention in City of Bones, and even though I love Shadowhunters, the show, I always picture Lily as Clary. She just stuck. She's so quirky I've learnt so far reading this. With all my heart, i would recommend this book.
I received it today and only read half of it because it was way too well written and way to beautiful that i wanted to keep also something for tomorrow.
Lily Collins opened herself up about everything she had been through during those years.
You should read it ASAP!

If any of you are in need of an uplifting, empowering book, you MUST read Unfiltered. Collins discusses everything from self-love to relationship problems, to her struggles with her eating disorder. It gives so much perspective on life, that we're not alone. 🙌🏻

I really loved this book. It was just straightforward and she was very open. She never seemed like she was trying too hard and yet she had a profoundness throughout the book. If you have ever suffered from body image issues, doubted your own personality, or had to deal with a substance-abusive relationship... this book may shed some light that you are not alone. Even if you haven't experienced those, it is still worth reading.

And this quote is another one I really loved.
"Struggling is normal. It's human. But I didn't let my new struggles define me. I used them for deep self-reflection and emotional contemplation."

It is important not to wallow in failure or struggle, but to take it in and learn from it. It is always going to be a part of the human experience and a part of who we are. Embrace it, learn to love it, and use it as a tool to help navigate your future.

This whole paragraph, but specifically: "Being free and uninhibited is beautiful."

So simple, and still... just powerful.

Listened to #Unfiltered by Lilly Collins and absolutely loved it! While I highly recommend listening to it on Audible, I'm sure it's just as great reading the physical copy for yourself.

5 stars absolutely! I really enjoyed and loved reading this book, Lily C. is a big inspiration for me. I was sooo excited for it and I'm delighted I can say that It was even more better than I expected! Recommend for everyone, it's such an inspirational read.

Guys, I love her🖤 She's an amazing inspiration for me, I'm really proud of her and what she writes about. I also went through eating disorder and to this day I'm still trying to eat as I should and believe me that It's truly hard to get out from this disease...

In an attempted to read some lighter reading material I chose to read Lily Collins' new book. She was a journalist from age 16 so she certainly has a way with words. Although I wouldn't considered a lot of the book "light" by any means. In fact, it was hard to read about abuse and addiction from her point of view. All in all I enjoy reading the female perspective on life. Hers was quite good.
