Great poems!
The Argument is about arguing with someone. The picture is neat because the words are in the 2 people‘s mouth.
How to Designate an Ungulate is about a camel and humps it has. It mainly a joke that would be fun for morning meeting.
The Hungry Giraffe is about how not to make fun of people no matter the difference.
This book is filled with different poems that highlight nonsense words.
The Race:
I like this poem, but the end is a let down done in a comedic way. Your anticipation for a race gets very high only to be concluded with a tie.
The Race:
This poem tells the story of two rocks waiting to race down a hill. The wait and wait and wait, but they never end up rolling. In the end, it‘s called a tie. The anticipation of a potential race keeps the reader intrigued until the end.
“If you say no he‘ll say, “you twit, no means yes- then you‘ll get hit!”
i like that each poem tells a story
This book has lots of short poems for younger kids that teach great life lessons such as “yes means yes” and “no means no.” Every line rhymes which makes the stories very catchy.

So this is book haul #2 from the school book fair. My youngest went back to school today after being gone 2 days for allergies. I had to get him the Mo Willem's books. And I needed one more book of poetry for the poetry challenge and I'm Just No Good at Rhyming reminds me of Shel Silverstein. And we have cute tote bags this time and this one zips! Plus I found this gnome at a decore store so he is headed to my new backyard book nook. #nowillpower
All the stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This book is so much fun! Bonus, I read a book of poetry this year. 😉🥃
This pic got snapped in the midst of Chris Harris & I joking about the impromptu poem he wrote in my book. Chris:"What should I write?" ME:"Something good!" PERSON WITH HIM:"Write a poem!" LOL I thought Chris was gonna throw up! Laughing CHRIS: "Well no pressure there!" ME:"It'd better be good." It went on from there. We were both laughing like crazy as I walked away! He was really fun to talk to & wrote a pretty silly last minute rhyme for me.
