I inherited TONS of leftover fruit from my mum‘s coronation party, which means fruit plates all day, every day until it‘s gone! I ate my first one while I read my daily short story. This is a strong anthology so far. #gaymay

I swung by the library and picked up so much quality Gay May content I couldn‘t fit it all in my bike basket in a nicely photographable way. (It did fit in a utilitarian way—barely.)

And I grabbed a book on granny squares into the bargain, because I don‘t know how to make them and I figure it‘s about time I learned. #gaymay

reading.rainb0w Omg Gay May I love it 😍 2y

"Laura liked to draw, sometimes she thought she should drop out and pursue it full time, but she didn't feel like being a trans girl starving artist would be a good life path for her. Instead she carried on going to engineering school, working her shitty part time job at the library.... She was quickly getting bored of the mundanity. Therefore, Satan." #24in48 #queerlit #transvoices

RebelGrrrl I started this book with the story from RJ Edwards, who is also a host on my fave podcast, Book Club for Masochists, and it was an excellent, thoughtful story. The voice in the story I'm currently reading by Aisling Fae ( Satan Are You There? It's Me, Laura) is already one I'm enjoying and I cannot wait to see where this goes 6y

Oh my God this is an amazing anthology with a huge variety of incredibly inventive, hilarious, and moving science fiction and fantasy stories by trans authors. I was totally blown away by how great the stories were. There were honestly only a few that I didn't love. It's just an astoundingly good collection. #TransBooks

SkeletonKey I can't wait to read this one. It's by my bed and ready to go when I finish a few others, lol. 7y

Oh my God this is one of the best short stories I've ever read. #TransBooks

"He wasn't unhappy in his life, not most days, just--so much of his life felt compartmentalized. He wanted to remember what it felt like to have all of himself in the same place at once. That sense of community he'd felt in his queer youth was lost to him now, everyone scattered to all corners, sticky little cottonwood seeds riding the wind."
Oh boy I feel this so hard.

SkeletonKey I picked this up at a conference when it was released, I can't wait. 7y

I savored each and every story in this anthology. I love speculation fiction, I'm super picky about sci-fi, I don't have much success with fantasy. But I can't think of a single story that didn't delight. All of them were fantastic and fierce. These stories are incredibly diverse in perspective, imagination, and style. Best of all, I ended up with a slew of new-to-me writers to keep an eye on! Don't miss out on this one. #ownvoices #translit #sff

#Riotgrams & #PrideMonth mean a #Shelfie of #LGBTQ books! On the left are all the books by / featuring trans women writers that I own & on the right are all the books by bisexual authors that I own! Note that some of the writers on the left would also be at home on the right. I wanted to feature these groups as they're more erased, forgotten, & marginalized than their cisgender & monosexual peers in the LGBTQ community. #TransBooks #QueerBooks
