Echo After Echo | 
pickI didn‘t enjoy this as much as The Lost Coast or The Heartbreak Bakery for a variety of reasons (no real magic, the ending felt incomplete, a couple small instances of my pet peeve) but it was still wonderful. There‘s a murder mystery, a queer romance, a grand old theater, an abusive director, a Greek tragedy that isn‘t real but sure feels like it could be. Capetta‘s writing and the characters consistently suck me in.
This sentence struck my funny bone and will live with me for a while. We may not like Leopold, but at least he owns who he is.
Husband is out of town, so it's a #sushi and a good book night! Just started, but love the writing and where this book is going already.
I'm thoroughly enjoying this book. Less than 2 hours of reading and I'm almost halfway through; it's jusy flying along.
Happy #YAPride to me! ECHO AFTER ECHO showed up at the store yesterday and I snatched it up right away. It's about a girl in high school working to solve a series of deaths (murders?) at her theatre, and the lady lighting director that she's falling for. It's a potentially magical mystery with a queer girl romance set in a theatre. What's not to want?!
