It includes all of the nitty gritty details one needs to plan a trip, from hotels and restaurants to try, to savvy tips on the best ways to get around the country. But British author Jack Jewers, who has been writing guidebooks to Ireland since 2006 (and is the proud grandson of an Irishwoman), also provides an affectionate and insightful take on Irish culture and history that will greatly enhance your trip to the Emerald Isle. The book is: - Completely updated every year and printed in large, easy-to-read type.- Packed with helpful maps, including a full-color fold-out map- Precise about pricing, with Euro and British Pound (for Northern Ireland) amounts listed for every attraction, restaurant, hotel, nightspot and shop in the guide--so there aren't any nasty surprises.- Filled with information on the fascinating culture, history, art history and cuisine of Ireland that will make your visit richer- Laden with no-holds-barred reviews, which will introduce you to the country's most authentic lodgings (hotels, B&B's, castles), eateries, museums, historic and nature sight so you can stretch your budget further, whether you're a luxury-seeker or a backpacker.

Oryx I'm from Northern Ireland - happy to provide tips if you are heading north! 😊 8y
eanderson @Tjackson oh my!!! Have fun!!! If you end up doing something that you think is a must definitely post! @Oryx we are actually hoping to try to make it up to Belfast. I'd love to get some tips/ideas!!!! 🤗 8y
Oryx Crumlin gaol is really interesting. The Crown Bar is amazing to have a drink in - it has proper snugs and is all beautiful tiles. Titanic museum supposed to be great, but I've not been yet. If you can spare time to go up Antrim coast road and to Giant's causeway, those are both stunning scenery. 8y
Tjackson @oryx I will be at giants causeway and antrim this Friday! Cliffs of Moher and Galway Saturday, and Howth Sunday... Dublin the rest of my time☘️☘️☘️ (edited) 8y
eanderson @Oryx Thank you!!!! We are thinking about the Titanic museum and we are definitely going to check out everything else you recommended! @Tjackson that's so cool! You should post some pictures! How long are you going to be in Ireland? 8y
