The Mid Atlantic “fall line” is dotted with old mill towns and some old mills. There was a big one in #mytown of Laurel MD that burned down in 1991, and now the space is part of a riverside park. It‘s a good place to walk.

This picture is from late August several years ago when I paused to sit on a bench and collect myself. It had been a difficult summer, but sitting to rest by the river gave me a sense of peace and well being. #anewchapter
