so-soA little hard to get in to, but an interesting story about a power struggle between family members over a business proposition. It would be interesting to see onstage, to do the work of the characters‘ underlying emotions, personal histories. Also it‘s unique for its time because a woman comes out on top and will be independently wealthy. There‘s also a subplot about the daughter being a bit more aggressive about her life path.

I've been gone from Litsy for a while. Not by choice, just life sometimes happens. Yesterday I decided I just needed to get out of my brain, so I took a road trip to Demopolis, Al. It's about 100 miles from me, all back roads. It was just what I needed. This town is on the Southern Literary Trail. My goal is to visit all the towns on the trail. In planning our upcoming trip to NYC, I so regret I didn't get tickets for Little Foxes! I bought all my tickets about 4 months ago & I couldn't tell then which nights Laura Linney would play Regina. But I ended up with other great shows-- all heavily nominated for Tonys, et al. We had to hire a pet sitter for our little cat who's been feeling under the weather so now I gotta go clean house... but wait...what's that book at the edge of the table?
